Strategic Acquisitions to Propel Market Growth

This year, an important acquisition allowed us to scale our tech capabilities and lay the groundwork for future innovation.

Expanding the Tech Ecosystem

In 2024, a major milestone was adding the i3 verticals merchant services portfolio to our organization. This acquisition accelerated Payroc’s tech stack, building upon our existing solid foundation for new product offerings.

Integrating these assets made our proprietary platform even stronger. We’re now able to develop and roll out solutions tailored to niche markets faster than ever. This strategy keeps our tech stack robust, flexible, and perfectly aligned with the needs of integrated partners, sales partners, and their merchants.

Product Innovation in Integrated APIs

Payroc Cloud 

Payroc Cloud is a "low code" solution that establishes a cloud-based connection between Payroc's application hosted on a payment device and the Payroc gateway. Integrating with Payroc Cloud means significantly less coding, testing and certification than traditional API coding, freeing up your development resources for other business priorities. 

App Switching 

App Switching, a key feature of Payroc Cloud, streamlines the checkout process for ISVs. When a transaction begins, App Switching temporarily switches between your point-of-sale and our payment app to process payments and then automatically returns to your software upon completion. This ensures a smooth, uninterrupted payment experience with minimal development required.

Product Innovation in the Payroc Gateway

Payment Links 

This year, Payroc enhanced Payment Links to give your merchants greater flexibility and convenience when accepting payments. Merchants can now create links without a set dollar value, perfect for variable payments such as pledges, donations, or universal bill pay portals on their websites. Additionally, Payment Links can be reused—merchants can send the same link to multiple customers or post it on their website for ongoing use.  

Hosted Fields 

Hosted Fields empower you to offer your merchants a secure, streamlined way to accept payments directly on their websites—no redirects, no interruptions. By reducing PCI compliance scope, similar to a Hosted Payment Page, Hosted Fields provide security and simplicity in one solution. Easy to implement, they enable you to enhance your merchants' payment experience without complex development. 

Apple Pay & Google Pay

Payroc now offers Apple Pay and Google Pay for online checkout, complementing the in-person digital wallet options already available. Powered on Hosted Payment Pages and Hosted Fields, this feature gives your clients the ability to provide secure, modern payment methods that customers know and trust.  

Product Innovation in Terminal Solutions

A massive focus for us in 2024 was continuing to partner with leading hardware manufactorers and developers to certify the best payment technology in the marketplace.

ID Tech NEO 3

Partnered with ID Tech, Payroc launched the ID Tech NEO 3 suite of products, starting with the launch of the VP3350, designed for effortless connectivity, making it ideal for micromarkets, mobile businesses, and other unattended setups. With pass-through charging, merchants can keep their POS devices powered for continuous use—perfect for kiosks using tablet-based solutions. 

AXIUM DX4000 

Powered by Payroc Cloud, the Ingenico AXIUM DX4000 is designed specifically for ISV partners to elevate countertop payment solutions. 

With flexible connectivity options, including reliable WiFi and Ethernet, this terminal integrates effortlessly into diverse environments, ensuring consistent, high-quality performance for your merchants. 

RX 7000AXIUM RX7000

The Ingenico AXIUM RX7000 is the latest addition to our supported multilane payment devices, designed to meet the needs of retail and quick-service ISV partners and their software clients. Powered by Payroc Cloud, this device enables easy integration with minimal development.

In 2024, we customized our solutions to better meet the needs of the evolving payments landscape. By staying in sync with our sales channels, we recognized the need for tailored payment technology that addressed unique industry demands.Our vertical-specific solutions give businesses across industries the tech they need to thrive with powerful, easy-to-use tools. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with partners and merchants hyped about the tailored capabilities and intuitive design.

Canadian Market

Through our collaboration with Moneris, Payroc delivered card-present payment solutions for merchants in Canada. This partnership allows you to streamline your operations by relying on Payroc as your single provider for payment solutions across both the U.S. and Canada. With Moneris Go, you can offer your merchants advanced terminals like the Ingenico AXIUM DX8000 and PAX A920. Additionally, the Moneris P400 is available through Moneris Cloud, giving you a versatile range of devices to meet diverse merchant needs. 

Field Service Businesses

Roc Services is Payroc’s invoicing and payment solution designed specifically for service industry professionals. It empowers your merchants to create and share customizable invoices, estimates, and subscriptions while seamlessly syncing with QuickBooks. 

Accessible via desktop or mobile app, Roc Services offers the flexibility your merchants need to manage payments in the office or on the go. Plus, it’s compatible with RewardPay Choice, enabling compliant surcharges to help merchants reduce processing costs. 

Small + Medium Sized Businesses

In 2024, we also launched Roc Terminal+, a versatile payment terminal for SMBs that simplifies omnichannel payment acceptance, customer checkout, and business reporting.

But Roc Terminal+ is more than just a payment terminal—it's complemented by a robust back-office portal that provides access to a comprehensive suite of tools, including a virtual terminal, payment links, customer vault, and real-time device reporting. These tools empower merchants to manage their payment operations efficiently and effectively, all from one centralized platform. 

Partner Innovation for Unattended Payments

Our investments in the gateway and cloud infrastructure delivered a significant 20% year-over-year growth in this segment. This leap reflects the impact of our focused tech advancements. Our quick response to feedback and market demands speaks volumes about our agility and commitment to a customer-first approach.

Parking Kiosk Payment

Our investments in the gateway and cloud infrastructure delivered a significant 20% year-over-year growth in this segment. This leap reflects the impact of our focused tech advancements. Our quick response to feedback and market demands speaks volumes about our agility and commitment to a customer-first approach.

Empowering Partners: Meters and the Unattended Market

One of our standout partnerships this year was with a parking meter company in California. By tapping into our robust platform, they deployed over 15,000 devices, completely transforming payments in the unattended space. This project is a testament to the scalability of our solutions and our ability to make a significant impact.

Speeding Up Time to Market

We also joined forces with a UK-based partner, pushing through certification at record speed and enabling the deployment of over 64,000 devices. This kind of rapid execution showcases our commitment to driving efficiency and helping our partners scale faster.
